Easy access to beauty spots like Ringstead Bay, Chesil beach, Lulworth Cove, and Durdle door beach.

THE LOCATION

Bracken Cottage is located in a pretty quaint village in Dorset called Osmington. Osmington is connected to the South West Coastal Path. The best local pub is called the Smugglers Inn (a beautiful 20 minute walk from the cottage), which is nestled on the Jurassic coastline and is renowned across the whole of Dorset.

My favourite things to do are all set out in my guide book, but in summary, the best local beach is Ringstead Bay. You can drive there in 5-10 minutes and it is a beautiful long quiet beach ideal for walking and swimming and kayaking. You can drive to famous beauty spots like Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door beach, Chesil beach and Weymouth within 15 minutes, all of which are exceptionally beautiful. Stunning walks in either direction on the South West Coastal Path, or around the White Horse hills, can be taken straight from the front door.

The cottage is adjacent to a dairy farm, which has a lovely little cafe and shop selling local products, so fresh cow's milk, delicious ice cream and creamy butter etc is just a minute's walk away. The farm has a lovely space with picnic benches overlooking rolling green fields for you to have afternoon tea and enjoy your ice cream...

THE SPACE

Bracken Cottage has been adorned with masses of healing crystals, sacred geometry, deep rich colours, luxurious hand-made textures, and art from the Natural History Museum, the V&A and the Warner Textile Archive.

Turn the key in the enchanted tree-muralled oak stable door, step inside (under the selenite crystal wand to cleanse your aura of negative energy) and take a long deep breath… Welcome to sacred space.

Reflect on life in the hanging egg chair: a perfect creative place to write or read. Wrap yourself in the cashmere blanket and switch on the candles. Cook yourself a nourishing feast in the brand-new kitchen fully equipped with top of the range cookware and vintage crockery. Pour yourself a cuppa from the vintage tea set, and dip in the locally-made Dorset biscuits.

Treat yourself to a steaming rose bubble bath – in the knowledge that there are rose quartz crystals underneath you – so you can bathe in pure unconditional love energy, gazing at the bespoke hand-painted local bird tiles all around you. Heated fluffy towels and toasty under-the-toes floor await you…

Sigh in delight as you slide into the beautiful soft bed. Fluffy feather down pillows and duvet, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, under-blanket heating, and black out full moon blind, all designed to ensure you can heal and rest deeply. Check out the gold wooden beam (because why shouldn’t you have a gold wooden beam) and sacred botanical art.

Before you fall asleep, gaze at the huge rare apophyllite crystal and thank the angels for watching over you while you sleep (the crystal has been cleansed in the divine feminine waters of the Chalice Wells fountain in Glastonbury). I have left you an alarm clock, which hopefully you won’t need, but it is there so you can tell the time without your mobile phone (time for a digital detox!).
